The Oxygen Lens of Purpose
Oxygen is a necessity for life. This aspect of purpose moves from a nice to experience to a vital requirement. The end phase of how our body processes oxygen is that it produces energy.
Why purpose produces energy in your life?
On the path to purpose, one of the reasons we can lose time with something we are passionate about is that we are energized by what we are doing! Even if we are exerting energy in this area, the energy we receive back is equal if not more than we are exerting. Have you experienced this? You are amazed by the passing of time and what you’ve accomplished and yet you’re not tired, you are jazzed!
Purpose energizes us. It also energizes those around us by being a demonstration of being excited, sparked and moved into action.
We take care of our body through our purpose diet and we produce energy through taking purposeful action. Purpose is a source function. If you are unsure about purpose, check in with how your body is responding to your activity or manner of being. Are you expansive? Do you have greater energy? Do you feel restricted and drained? Even when faced with challenges on the path to purpose, there is a flow of energy to resolve the challenges and find solutions.
The key to success with this lens is that it requires practice. It is difficult to determine what does and does not bring energy to us if we are not actively engaged in curiosity and motion. Every move brings you closer to understanding more about what makes you come alive and leveraged in service to others.
