Spark Notes: Celebrate the Stars in Your Life

Introducing Spark Notes, notes to spark conversation within ourselves and with others.  Join the purpose conversation.

SparkNote_Dec24

We’ve been discussing the star formation this week and integrating the lessons of each phase of formation.  In a previous spark note, we also chatted about the value of letting things breathe.  It is in this spaciousness that the magic, the mysticism, the anointing appears and rests on whatever we are experiencing or creating.

I had a breathing moment this morning.  This morning marks the 21 year of my Grandmother’s transition. Her transition was as beautiful and remarkable as her life and legacy.

She was the star of our family.  She illuminated light. She radiated light and she held a mirror up so that people could witness their light.  She held space for people to grow into his or her purpose.

I did not always understand the role of my Grandmother in my life.  The change from her physical presence was really challenging because I relied on her light, a lot.  Many years later I met someone who reminded me so much of my Grandmother in a way I could not quite wrap my mind around.  One day a sense of knowing rushed through me and I shared with my Godmother, “I get it. I know why you remind me of my Grandmother, it’s because I see Christ in you.”  You can read about this experience and more in Divine Spark.

Celebrate the stars in your life who bring new awareness and spark your purpose.

I am a Christian and Jesus and I have been really close since I was a young child.  And yet I embrace all of my faith traditions.  I grew up traditional Baptist. My father was devout Muslim and I loved and respected his faith tradition.   I also had some experience as a  practicing Jehovah’s Witness and The Church of God and Christ, all before the age of 10!

I loved to go home and visit my kinfolk in the mountains of Virginia.  Some of my favorite experiences were witnessing natural practices that were probably born of Cherokee Indian tradition. I love the Buddhist traditions of some of my close friends and what they teach me about living peacefully and having true intimacy (in to me I see) in my life.  I also love people who are spiritual with no formal religion that radiate light.

Most of my life, I struggled with not really fitting in or people not really understanding what box to put me in.  My struggle was actually a pivotal point in  my path to purpose.  I never belonged in a box!  My unique design was meant to be inclusive. I am just beginning to understand and leverage the tools in my toolkit.

I am your sister in purpose because I love you and all the paths to that which is greater than you which is integral to your purpose path.  My Grandmother helped me to understand this important part of my purpose path because she was accepting of all and as a result everyone felt they were “the one.”  In my Grandmother’s legacy, everyone was a star in some form of star formation.  She had a knowing about this that she demonstrated throughout her life.

Celebrate the stars in your life.  Embrace their lessons and legacy.   It is more that will avail itself to you when you are ready.  The path to ready is to focus your attention on the people and events that really impact you or spark you.  Celebrate the transitions of life and the honor of the baton of  legacy and impact that are passed onto you.  Your sparks were passed onto YOU because the Ultimate Giver of Gifts knew you would take them, be with them and ultimately run with them!

Spark Notes: Despise Not Small Beginnings

Introducing Spark Notes, notes to spark conversation within ourselves and with others.  Join the purpose conversation.

In the final stage of star formation, before the star illuminates, a trade wind of dual forces causes an eruption from its core , which also blasts away any remaining gas and dust.

The Perception Key to Success reminds us that things are rarely how they first appear.  The Purpose Key to Success anchors our life experiences in the truth that everything has purpose, often multiple purposes, that we uncover over time.

Trade winds are dual force winds that propel what is in its center.  Airplanes take off in trade winds.  Can you recall being in the pressure of two directions that cause you to leap, to fly into action that defies logic?

It is interesting that the trade winds of star formation cause an eruption from its core.  What if life causes trade winds that cause our purpose to erupt from our core?  What if the trade wind disruptions are on assignment to birth purpose in our lives?

What if, like the star, we get a dual gift of blasting away any remnants of old parts of ourselves that like the gas and dust of a forming star, were once integral to our development and now dull our shine and ultimate purpose?

The end of the star formation concludes a process that began millions of years ago!  Whatever star power brilliance that is being cultivated in us has a due date to illuminate.  Know you possess the components of your brilliance and trust your process to illuminate.

Spark Notes: Heat attracts, activates and produces

In star formation, the final stage before the its illumination, heat intensifies and it attracts what is needed to progress, the heat activates the next stage of creation where something new is produced.

The Keys to Success of Trusting In the Process, Faith & Relationships are key to complete massive vision and impact.  It is the heat, in the most challenging of times that attracts some of our most deeply held keys to success and serves as a magnet for resources to find and connect with us.

I’ve heard many people teach don’t give up before the miracle.  The heat of our challenges intensifies just before we call uncle and give up.  Viewing intensifying heat as a part of the last leg of our transformative process may lend just enough space to breathe and finish the process.

Spark Notes: Transformation Requires Taking In New Material

Introducing Spark Notes, notes to spark conversation within ourselves and with others.  Join the purpose conversation.

SparkNotes_Dec21

In star formation, after transforming shape through movement, the movement quickens and the new form takes in new material that forms a hot center core.

The Key of Transformation requires inclusion of new material.  New material could be new people, places, things, new thoughts or renewal of existing thoughts, insight and knowledge.

This part of the transformation of the star really sparks me.  It sparks me because it extends the inclusiveness of the greater team.  When the star form moves from changing shape to blending into a new form, it reaches outward to become more.  This is akin to purpose, we may hold a vision individually but when it comes to the vision taking form, it requires a greater team.

Another thing that sparks me is the heat.  The heat in the star formation is so intense that it melts and molds into a new center core.  It is from this center core that the star will shine and be visible millions of miles away.

It is in the heat of life that we may feel the most lost and yet be experiencing the most impactful moments of our lives! We do not know who is watching us journey in life.  Like the star that is destined to shine millions of miles away–one day, we do not fully know the light legacy we are leaving.

Consider if the journey is as important as our purpose.  Consider that our ability to avail ourselves to our process and lend ourselves as part of the greater team in the purpose or vision of another is some of our most purposeful work.  The star could not complete its process without taking in  new material to build its core.

Spark Notes: What Appears to be Collapsing May Be a New Formation

Introducing Spark Notes, notes to spark conversation within ourselves and with others.  Join the purpose conversation.

Adobe Spark (10)

In star formation, after a disturbance to bring its foundation together, there is a rotation that flattens what was once a clump.

The Key of Faith allows us to trust the process of life knowing that there is something happening to us that is for us.

Friends, I remember being in major transformative processes in my life and when I “thought” it stopped, I took a breath only to realize it was just a transition from one phase to another!  For many years I made meaning of this experience that had nothing to do with the truth of the experience.  The truth of the experience is that I was transforming by something that knew the end creation and I did not.

Have you ever had an aha that made everything click and yet you still were not in control?  This is the perfect time for us to practice with the Key of Faith.  The Key of Faith allows us to trust in the process of life and know that it is good for us.  What we do not know are the steps required and the end destination.

Faith always reminds me of the show Quantum Leap, where the lead character shows up not knowing where he is or his assignment.  He trusts that he has an assignment and his trust leads him to his knowing and he completes his assignment.  He breathes and then it is next week and he has a new episode and new assignment!

Have faith that you are in a process that is for you. You will know what you need to know when you need to know it to take inspired action for the vision of your life to reach fulfillment.
